Title | Possible repercussions on UK_US relations of publication of book by Colin Simpson (UK journalist) 'The Lusitania' about sinking of that vessel and possible National Broadcasting Company (NBC) sponsored undersea investigation (1974) |
Description | Mr Durnford-Slater who works for a company involved in undersea diving and submarine work was approached by NBC to do on their behalf an exploration by diver and submarine of the Lusitania. Durnford-Slater's company thought that the NBC was trying to prove a theory that the Lusitania was, in fact, not torpedoed by the Germans but by the British. |
